WHITE paint was thrown onto the Gisborne fountain (pictured) earlier this month causing about $5000 of damage.
Gisborne police are seeking help to identify the vandals and will review CCTV footage from July 13.
The fountain is the central structure in the town and was restored in 2009 as part of the Gisborne heritage parklands precinct project.
