SUNBURY United remains on top of the ladder, after a hard-fought win against the Werribee Bears in the Victorian Rugby League top division.
The Tigers bounced back from a shock loss last week to win 14-6.
Coach Julian Keddy said it was a tough game.
"It was good for us [to get the winning result] and that the boys were able to stick it out.
"It was an arm-wrestle throughout what was a very defensive game."

Keddy said the Tigers had grabbed an early lead and were then able to hold on.
"It took us 25 minutes to score and then we were able to score two tries before half-time.
"They also scored a try before half-time to reduce the margin to two points. After half-time we scored the final try, which was enough for the win."
Keddy said the Tigers' defence stood out.
"It was good for them to perform well against the bigger and older people. Our players have an average age of 20, so we need to play well against those sort of sides, as most will be bigger than us."
He said try-scorers Aleki Falepaini and Terry Constantinou were the Tigers' best.
The club's division two side also won, defeating the Northern Thunder 32-22.
This week the first grade side faces local rival Altona.
