KYNETON Town Hall hosted more than 200 guests feasting on the shire's food and wine at the town's first World's Longest Lunch on Friday.
The sold-out event was part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
The lunch was relocated from the Kyneton Botanic Gardens to the town hall because of wet weather.
Chefs from Monsieur Pierre and Mr Carsisi prepared a four-course meal, each course being matched with a limited-edition wine from the region.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the lunches, Sylvia Johnson, a former festival director, sat among the guests.
Event co-ordinator Rachel Paterson said that 20 students from Sacred Heart College in Kyneton helped on the day, as did nine Macedon Ranges winemakers.
"It's all about showcasing the wonderful producers, winemakers and farmers we've got in the region."
She said $1.50 from each ticket was given to the Friends of the Kyneton Botanic Gardens.
