MELTON Centrals and Romsey will play off for a spot in the preliminary final this weekend when the near-inseparable top pair in the Riddell District Netball League meet at Romsey Park.
Centrals' 46-21 win against Riddell at the weekend was enough to hold top spot on the table from Romsey, itself a 48-37 winner against Wallan, by a slim margin. Finishing with 16 wins, a draw (against each other) and a loss each, Centrals edged the minor premiership 187.36per cent to Romsey's 186.94per cent.
Romsey became the only team of the home-and-away season to crack 1000 goals in its win against Wallan, finishing the campaign with 1002.
In other results, Macedon defeated Broadford 66-29, Lancefield held fourth on the ladder despite losing 46-54 to Diggers Rest, Sunbury Kangaroos defeated Rockbank 53-25 and Kilmore 43 beat Woodend-Hesket 38.
