Woodend-Hesket faced few problems against a struggling Melton-Centrals outfit after a three-goal to-one opening term set it on course to victory. Daniel Martin, James Hepburn and Matthew Knox scored two goals each for the winning side, while Shane Bowen and Thomas Alsop were best on ground. Paul Sproule was impressive for the Centrals.

Lancefield got off to a brilliant start scoring eight goals in the first quarter compared to Broadford's one and dominated the match.

Victory keeps the team in equal first position on the league standings, alongside Riddell.

Brian Ruffell was at his devastating best in the forward line for Lancefield, booting six goals to extend his season tally to 25. Nathan Carroll impressed with four goals, while Luke Malone chipped in with three.

Sean Duggan and Sam Ezard were Broadford's best with the latter scoring both of his side's two goals.

Kilmore 24.18 (162) d Rockbank 2.4 (16)

Kilmore maintained its pressure on the top three sides with a resounding win over a hapless Rockbank at JJ Clancy Reserve. The home side dominated the first quarter scoring four goals while managing to prevent Rockbank from recording a single point. The trend continued for the rest of the match.

Aaron James was the star of the show for the winning side, booting 13 goals while Matthew Robertson chipped in with four.

Romsey 14.11 (95) d Wallan 9.7 (61)

Romsey faced few problems in the battle of the mid-table teams after a five-goal-to-zero opening term set it on course to an important win.

Wallan fought to close the gap in the second and third quarters and managed to draw the game level by three-quarter time.

Romsey scored seven goals in the final term to ensure it remained within touching distance of Diggers Rest, which is sixth on the league ladder.

James Carroll kicked three goals for the Redbacks while Dean Smith-Whiting was best on ground.
