Gisborne in massive loss

21 Jul, 2009 10:17 AM
OUCH. Gisborne coach Ty Elliott and his players are ducking for cover after suffering a humiliating loss to Golden Square at Gardiner Reserve on Saturday.

Considered a genuine premiership contender in the Bendigo Football League, the Bulldogs were completely out-gunned to go down by 159 points.

The scoreboard told the tale of woe: 31.11 (197) to 6.2 (38).

Gisborne is likely to finish in third position on the ladder behind South Bendigo and Golden Square.

The Bulldogs host Castlemaine at Gardiner Reserve in their next game on Saturday week.
