MACEDON Ranges residents can have their say on a master plan for the proposed Community and Arts precinct in Woodend.
After community consultation in 2001, the council identified a strong desire to develop such a precinct.
The Woodend Community Centre on the corner of High and Forrest streets was identified as a suitable location.
The master plan for the proposed precinct is still at a concept stage and the project is dependent on funding. It is expected to cost between $5million and $7million.
A series of community workshops will be held to explore the master plan, identify potential funding options and discuss how the council and the community can work together to make the project happen. The workshops will be held at:
*Kyneton Town Hall (7.15-9.30pm, July 14).
*Gisborne Mechanics Hall (7.15-9.30pm, July 20).
*Mount Macedon Primary School (7.15-9.30pm, July 21).
*Woodend Community Centre (7.15-9.30pm, July 22).
*Romsey Community Hub (7.15-9.30pm, July 27).
*Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House (7.15-9.30pm, July 28).
