A 20-year-old woman died in an accident on Three Chain Road near Cobaw yesterday.

Police believe the car, which was travelling east ran off the road and clipped a tree before hitting another tree.

A male passenger, in his 20’s was injured and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment.

The incident comes a day after a man and his 14-month-old son were left fighting for their lives in hospital after a car accident on Gisborne-Kilmore Road in Monegeetta on Monday.

Police believe the accident happened after 9am when the 52-year-old man lost control of his car between Riddells Creek and Monegeetta.
