A WOMAN has died after she lost control of her car and struck a large boulder in Chintin yesterday.

Investigators believe the woman’s grey Mazda wagon was travelling east on Wallan-Romsey Road when the collision occurred at about 8.30am.

The driver and sole occupant, a 64-year-old Chintin woman, was airlifted to The Alfred, but died on Wednesday.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
