FOR 20 years, patients and friends of the Gisborne Chiropractic Clinic have been coming to the aid of the needy.
They have been taking part in an annual program called Toys for Tots during the Christmas period.
Every December, patients are invited to bring unwrapped, new toys to the clinic instead of their payment for chiropractic services.
The toys are donated to the Sunbury Salvation Army as part of the Christmas distribution to needy people in the Sunbury and Macedon Ranges areas.
Dr Bruce Ellis and Dr Brett Jarosz, of the clinic, recently presented about $1500 worth of toys from this year's collection to the Salvation Army's captain David Davis.
Dr Ellis said the clinic was constantly amazed by people's generosity towards the Toys for Tots program.
"We heard from the local toy shop that one family took their young son shopping for toys.
"Once they had selected a huge array of toys, the assistant asked if they were for the young fellow. No, they were all to be put in with the gifts at the chiropractic clinic."
