VICTORIA University is facing renewed pressure to inform people about where students can register for their courses should the planned closure of the Melton and Sunbury campuses go ahead.
The Friends of Victoria University Group spokesman Raoul Wainwright said VU still intended to pull out of the campus in Sunbury.
Mr Wainright said VU was working in the "opposite direction to commonwealth and state governments' policies".
He said there was a unanimous vote at the recent Labor Party state conference for the Government to work with the VU management to develop a strategy to maintain the courses in the region.
Sunbury resident Phil Hatton said: "VU has been attempting to ... get its message out, again shutting out students and the broader community."
The VU decision about registration was first expected in April, but a spokesman said last week it was yet to be finalised.
Senior deputy vice-chancellor John McCallum had earlier said arrangements for the relocation of the Sunbury campus courses were "awaiting approval from state and federal governments".
