 Romance proves winning formula

Romance proves winning formula

09 Mar, 2010 09:46 AM
RENOWNED romance novelist and Macedon Ranges resident Stephanie Laurens has visited the Sunbury library to talk about her latest book, her earlier works and her writing career.

About 65 people attended the talk and later talked to the author.

A former cancer research scientist, Ms Laurens turned her writing hobby into a successful career more than 20 years ago.

As a fan of romance novels herself, Ms Laurens decided to try her hand at writing when she had run out of her favourite Regency romances, something she had always wanted to do.

Her first manuscript was Tangled Reins, published in 1992.

She writes historical romance novels and is a New York Times, Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller.

Her latest release is Elusive Bride, the second volume in The Black Cobra Quartet.
