She was among the young scientists who put their skills to the test at the Science Talent Search at Sunbury Downs College last week.
All year 7 students took part in the competition and 12 were selected for the state competition at Wesley College.
The theme was biodiversity.
Now in its 13th year, National Science Week enables teachers, organisations and students to host and attend a range of events and activities about science, technology and engineering.
