WOODEND artist Jahne Hope Williams has created a collection of hauntingly beautiful tarot-card-inspired art for her 61st exhibition.
For the first time she will exhibit the major arcana - titled Revelation Tarot - which consists of 22 tarot cards and a collection of large angel-inspired paintings at Lancefield's MAD Gallery.
Ms Hope Williams began painting at the age of two. A yoga teacher for 35 years, she is one of first scientific illustrators from Australia to work at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.
She draws on years of experience across the fields of yoga, philosophy, art, writing, meditation and religion.
Also a mystic, her collection of 22 tarot cards includes mythology, astrology, numerology, tarot, Hebrew and Kabbalah.
Ms Hope Williams decided to release the work in sections instead of the traditional 75 tarot cards found in a deck.
"I only released the major cards in the deck. If I do one set at time, each set will be beautiful and something special."
Ms Hope Williams hopes her designs would provide insight to people.
"I think people as they move around or even just standing in front of the cards, will get a new look at themselves and start to ask questions of themselves they haven't before.
"There is nothing holding you back from the life of your dreams except you and the deep-held, undiscovered motivation that tarot can help you see and act on. Nothing is set in stone - your future is yours. The universe and God want you to be wildly happy and successful."
Revelation Tarot is at the MAD Gallery, High Street, Lancefield, until November 13. Details: 54291432.
