Grant warms the hearts of festival organisers

26 May, 2009 04:00 AM
THE Sunbury Community Arts Network has received a $2000 grant from Hume Council to organise an event as part of the Hume Winter Music Festival.

The festival will run from July 17 to August 9.

The network is a not-for-profit organisation. It maintains and operates the Boilerhouse Community Centre on Jacksons Hill. It runs activities such as art classes, theatre performances, workshops, classes in dance and exhibitions.

Members John Beasley and Dave Maxwell said they were thrilled with the grant and intended to put it to good use.

For festival program details, visit www.hume.vic.gov.au from early next month.
