Expo to highlight our nine attractions

25 Aug, 2009 04:00 AM
KYNETON has been chosen as the host town for '9: The Expo', a business and lifestyle exhibition created specifically for the Macedon Ranges.

Presented by Macedon Ranges Council in conjunction with the Kyneton business community, the exhibition will be held at Sacred Heart College on October 3 and 4.

The name '9: The Expo' was chosen to represent the major towns and villages in the Macedon Ranges - Gisborne, Kyneton, Lancefield, Macedon, Malmsbury, Mount Macedon, Riddells Creek, Romsey and Woodend.

The free event aims to connect local people with local businesses by promoting a 'Buy Local' message. Macedon Ranges Council economic development and tourism manager Kylie Lethbridge said the event was an opportunity for residents to discover the range of businesses in their 'backyard'.

A new feature of the exhibition this year will be a health and wellbeing component including yoga stretching and tai chi classes and workshops on health, wellbeing and spirituality.

The council will offer a free Park and Ride shuttle bus service through the retail and tourism offerings of the town.
