MONTHS of hard work is coming to fruition for Sunbury Downs College's production cast and crew.
Next week, Dorothy and the Tinman, Lion and Scarecrow will take to the stage for the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz.
Rehearsals began in April and included an intensive weekend-long rehearsal camp.
It is a student-run production.
As well as acting, they've painted sets, made props and costumes, worked as stage managers and done the lighting and sound.
"It's an exciting venture from that point of view," musical director Jonathan Harvey said.
"Students who are not easily engaged in the classroom can really shine on the stage."
Next Wednesday, September 8, is the show's opening night. Performances will be held Thursday-Saturday at 7pm.
Tickets are available from the school.
