FAVOURABLE weather conditions allowed the Department of Sustainability and Environment to undertake fuel-reduction burns in Mount Macedon last Wednesday. A 40-hectare burn in Bawden Road was part of a larger burn of 306 hectares planned to reduce forest fuel levels for the mount's western face.
